Our Mission

Our primary focus is Custom Yacht Design.  Our specialty is the design of personal yachts large and small for ocean voyaging; for luxury charters; or for all-around family cruising.  Whether we are creating a new yacht design or modifying an existing design, our mission is to combine an owner's wishes with graceful aesthetics, human-friendly design, competent analysis, maximum performance, robust structure, and of course - classic form.
 

Our Approach to Yacht Design

One may well ask, "Is it even possible to combine ruggedness and elegance in the same vessel?"   We say, "Yes, absolutely!" 

Strength, safety, comfort, speed, style, grace... These are essential attributes of any yacht. They are the qualities that have shaped an approach to style we call Modern Classic.

Advanced Computer Modeling and Analysis

Computer modeling has become the most efficient and accurate means of defining hull form, offering a designer access to powerful design and analysis tools.  What is somewhat less obvious is that one can then make excellent use of the computer generated model to define the structural parts of a boat in order to take advantage of computer controlled parts cutting.  In other words, to actually start building the boat while the design is still on the computer...!

In addition to being clean and extremely accurate, this process saves considerable fabrication time for the builder - all of which translate into a much better product at a more favorable cost.

Continuing Development

We continue work on a new web site that will focus on our larger yacht designs.  Although incomplete in terms of the eventually intended content, you will find a number of images of new designs, prototype ideas, and several good photos.
